Measure NA chlorate concentration vs chloride

Hello,

I am using an electrolytic cell to convert sodium chloride to sodium chlorate (NOT per-chlorate, just straight NaCLO3).

How can i measure the relative concentration of chlorate to chloride? I need to find a way to track how much of the conversion has been completed.

The application is for herbicide, so purity isn't an issue, i dont need to worry about running the reaction to completion. (ie if the resulting product is 75% chlorate and 25% plain salt thats fine).

I've tried searching for an answer to this, but no luck. Time to put up my hand and ask! Thanks.

I'm not sure how you could do this (easily) ...

Probably the best way is to measure how many coulombs of electricity you put into the cell , perhaps about 50% is lost in heat , the rest will be used in conversion .
