There are 4 basic light receptors in the eye;
Red, Green, Blue and Grey.

The grey receptors are much more sensitive than the colour receptors,
and are particularly useful at night.
You might have noticed that it is more difficult to pick out colours when the light is low.

There are actually 2 slightly different versions of the Green receptor!
Most people have the standard one but a rare few have a slightly different one.
(This is perhaps the source of those disagreements about when Green shades into Blue through Turquoise).
