Exclamation 702 SM Titrino (Metrohm)

Dear All,

Good day

I am very glade to join this amazing helpful forum and with my many concerns I hope to find answers .

In my company laboratory we have 702 SM Titrino (Metrohm)
" yaaah I know little bit old"; and I want to determine mercaptan in pyrolysis oil (PYGAS).

So first, which solvent should I use:

1- Acidic solvent or 2- Alkaline solvent

Second,

Is 0.1 N AgNo3 equal to 0.1 M AgNo3 ? (for Titrant)

1.Use acidic solvent
2.They are certainly not the same
0.1 N AgNo3=0.1mol
0.1 M AgNo3=0.1g

Smile Thanks BUT..

Thanks to your reply "malonate" but in the method ASTM D 3227 said that if you going to analyze gasoline sample (which PYGAS belong to) so use alkaline solvent.

And, for AgNo3 Concentration isn't same " 0.1 N AgNo3=0.1mol "
