Arrhenius equation help
Hi all,
I am currently working through a problem set and I have been stuck on this question for so long as I don't know where to start:
"The activation energy,Ea, for the reaction of OH– with bromoethane to give ethanol is 90 kJmol–1. How much faster will the reaction proceed at 35˚C than at 20˚C (other factors remaining the same, A=4.3x10^11)?"
I know that I have to use the Arrenhius equation, but I'm not quite sure how. I calculated the rate constant k at temperature 20˚C and Ea 90 kJmol–1 but I am unsure as to what the next steps are. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you :-D
