I am teaching my children high school chemistry at home. Any help will be appreciated. I am using Robert Bruce Thompson's "Illustrated Guide to Home Chemistry Experiments" as a core book. It sure keeps the kids' attention!

Today I made cupric peroxide or copper oxide instead of copper (II) hydroxide. Any help in making sure the CuSO4 isn't full of ions, so that the experiment works, next time, is appreciated.
