Aluminium pot

Hi - I need some help please - nothing study related - I have a aluminium pressure cooker and want to dissolve a small carcass - (long story!) and I was going to use sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide (or a mix of both) and water...but someone has told me that it will react with the metal and the pot is just no good to use - Is there any thing I can add that will stop the reaction? Or should I try to find a stainless one instead? I paid quite a bit for the one I have so am a bit sad if that's the case.
