can you not add 0.0000001 to 0.00000001 to get 0.00000011 ?

What pH does this give you?

I'm starting to get the impression that you really don't understand this topic all that well. With the number of questions you seem to have about the basics I would say that you probably need to talk to your instructor about this.

8 - log 11. The answer is (4)?
I mean that 8 - (log11) is not equal to 4.

8 - (log11) = 8 - 1.04 = 6.96.

So the pH is a little bit less than 7, which is what you would expect.

Oh yes. I meant the same pH is 6.96. The answer for the question is (4)?
