Have we discovered all of the sun's elements? Yes or no and why?

I am struggling with this one....

I'm not sure what you mean by the Sun's "elements." As far as its composition there is a heck of a lot of hydrogen and helium. But since its birth its been making all sorts of stuff on the low side of the Periodic Table. Pretty much everything up to, say, oxygen. It probably has trace amounts of bunch of the higher elements...the dust cloud that collapsed to create the sun was produced by a supernova which can make just about anything during the explosion.

I can't give you a better answer until I understand the question better.

I'm sorry, but I'm still unclear on what you are asking.

Two possibilities:
1) Are you asking if there are any elements there that we haven't detected?

2) Are you asking if there are any elements that should be there (according to theory) that we haven't found there yet?

As I implied before, the sun is a messy system that has all sorts of elements in it. Perhaps this is more of what you are after.

Yes I am trying to find out if there are elements not yet detected on the sun, your question #1

Thanks Dan
